Whatever you can do, or dream you can, begin it. Boldness has genius, power, and magic in it….Goethe

Internet phone number:

Yes, you will be able to reach us in Central America.  The call is free to all cell-phone users or from a land-line, a toll call to Los Gatos, CA!  While we are traveling, in all likelihood you’ll get our voice mail.  We’ll have to hit an Internet cafe to return calls.  Oh, for the marvels of technology.

Well, we certainly don’t feel the genius, power, and magic in this moment of chaos!  Some of you may not know, but Jim and I are packing up our house and putting it into extended storage.

We have been very thankful to have had 5 great years on this very special 12 acres of park-like setting yet only 7 min. to Los Gatos.  We’ve been surrounded by beauty, peace, and serenity in this magical place we’ve called home.  P1009769_editedWe have started every day with a steamy hot latte and a  beautiful sunrise.  Every evening we’ve been greeted by the comforting sound of the frog’s symphony down at the pond and a staggering city lights view of all of San Jose.  Hence, we have called this our city lights house.  We’ve had our routines and the promise of stability in an otherwise unstable world.  But every once in a while you have to shake things up a bit to maintain your vitality and sense of aliveness.  Yes, we’re giving all this up and are about to call two small suitcases home!

At the end of July, we will be completing what has become a logistically complicated move and becoming gypsies. We will be hopping planes, boats, buses, and trains to who knows where.  Well, actually we do know where for starters, that is.  We’re taking off for Central America and starting off in Panama.

We invite you all to travel along with us through this blog.  You can leave comments if you so choose or just enjoy the pictures and the ride.  We’ll ping you with an e-mail when we have an update, pictures and all.

So off we go – are you ready for an adventure?  It’s time to have some fun and shed what has become a very tense time for all in America.  Come along – follow us!

  6. WOW!!!! When can I come and visit??? I’m so happy for you both…I love the shot of Jim swimming in the ocean!!! What a dream!!! I’m sorry it took me so long to respnd, I couldn’t figure out how to do it. Hopefully, I’m doing it now and correctly. The photos are gorgeous and make me smile! It’s sooo nice to know that there are still those beautiful places out there even though when you’re here in Silicon Valley it feels like that’s all there is in the world. I hope I can meet you someday in that lovely, peaceful environment! Enjoy it! It’s your turn to get those goodies!!! Mara started High School and LOVES it. Savo started school, too. We haven’t moved, yet but I’m still looking. Work is so very tiring but I’m still grateful to be employed even though everyday is a juggle of logistics with two kids’ activities and trying to find time for myself. I’m officially divorced now, it’s a new beginning! For you, too…much love to you both, it sure is quiet around our place without you two, I miss you! HAVE FUN!!! Amy, Mara and Savo

    • Hi Amy,
How nice to hear from you! Too quiet? And here we are getting more remote by the minute for quietude. Glad things at Google are providing you with stability and it’s good to hear that the kids are enjoying their new schools. Wow, Mara liked it right away. I would have thought that would have been a big adjustment to go through.

Amy, in November we’re heading up to Costa Rica for the 72 hr. thing. We’ll be going up from David. Didn’t you say that you had friends over on the coast that had a little hotel? Is the road good getting there and what is the name of the town? Do you think that we should go there or stay on the other side of the border?

Glad you found your way into the blog. So good to hear from you and we miss you muchisimo too!
