Jim and Luisa Tie the Knot

We finally tied the Knot!

Jim Vidlak and Luisa Baldwin were married in San Diego, California on February 22, 2011.  It only took us nine years to tie the knot.  Well, what can I say; we don’t make hasty decisions.

We flew down to La Jolla so we could have my Mother join us.

Joining us in a simple yet touching civil ceremony was my eighty six year young Mother, Helen Ballam of La Jolla, California.

The occasion was the first time I ever saw Jim in a jacket and tie – and probably the last! I must say, he wore it well and looked quite dashing in it; not even needing help with tying his tie.  It was a pleasant change from a steady Panamanian wardrobe of shorts, t-shirts and flip-flops.

Handsome dog!

So, we return to Panama as a legitimately old married couple, which suits Panama just fine.  They like tradition here – and so do we.
